The Wimbledon Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world. It was first held in 1877 and is played on outdoor grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, alongside the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open.
The Wimbledon Championships are held over a two-week period in late June and early July. The tournament begins on the Monday following the third Sunday in June and ends on the first Sunday in July. In 2025, the Wimbledon Championships will be held from Monday, June 30th to Sunday, July 13th.
